The form turns and folds to create a courtyard that is both intimate and expansive. Three sides embrace a community plaza before the building opens up to views of the lake beyond.
Set within a rich and varied natural landscape, the building embraces its surroundings. Interior programs gather around and extend into a central courtyard, activating the plaza as a lively communal hub.
We sought to reinterpret traditional Indian vernacular elements, courtyards, verandahs, and jalis, within a contemporary context.
